Identify the structure and the limits of removal
Describe the structure, its approximate size and the reason for removal. Include photos from several sides and show its relationship to nearby buildings, fences or other improvements. Be specific about whether the request concerns the whole structure or a limited part of the site.
Point out items that are intended to remain. If there are drawings or records that explain the construction, include them in the inquiry. The aim is to establish the project boundaries before discussing equipment, sequence or timing; a short description alone cannot confirm the final scope.
Bring access and site conditions into view
Show the route from the property entrance to the structure, including gates and confined areas. Explain whether the property is occupied or used for business and which access points must remain available. Nearby improvements can be just as important to the plan as the structure being removed.
Share known information about utilities, prior alterations and any material concerns. The responsibilities for disconnections, required reviews, material handling and disposal need to be defined for the project before work begins. Include any existing inspection information so Gator can review the structure and materials as part of defining the scope.
Connect removal to the next phase
Tell Gator what you intend to do with the area afterward. If the site will be prepared for another structure or improvement, the next phase may influence how the demolition scope is described. Include any requirements already supplied by another contractor or designer.
Demolition and site work can be discussed together so the transition between them is clear. Drainage or trenching may also be relevant where the future layout changes. Share the desired schedule and dependencies, but leave room to confirm the scope and necessary project preparations before committing to a construction sequence.
